An awesome day…

Another Dodger win and on My Town Taiwan Night, both Hong-Chih Kuo and Fu Te Ni both got in the game. The section on the reserved level was going bonkers.

John Ely was dealing again, even with a rough first inning he kept his composure and lasted six innings.

We’ll try to keep it going tomorrow…hope you’ll make it out for the series finale.

Nice game by Ely….please keep him Joe.

I just read on the Home Page that DeWitt may be sent down when Furcal comes back….because Green would have to clear waivers…..I don’t care, GREEN doesn’t belong, DEWITT does.

Pretty sure the Dodgers could withstand the crushing loss of Nick Green should he be sent down and be claimed on waivers. But what kind of a message would it send DeWitt, who in my opinion has had a great season so far, both offensively and defensively? Joe, put your blankie down, take your thumb out of your mouth, have a good scream–and have the courage to choose a kid over a warm, fuzzy PVL.

Great win tonight Dodgers!!!! I wasn’t home to see it, but from what I read, very pleased indeed!!! ………..and you know these wins are so much nicer when you know the gnats have already lost. Maybe the Mariners can pull out this win against the Padres so we can be in first all by our lonesome………………then it can officially be ice cream time!!!

BTW – Don’t do anything foolish by sending DeWitt down. He has done all that has been asked of him and more and has earned the right to stay. Very well put Kahli!!!

Josh – Any updates on our MVP, Mr. Ethier? I realize the Dodgers are doing great without him, but the Ethieraholics are becoming restless not seeing him in right field.

Nevermind Josh – I got my answer in the article about Furcal/DeWitt and Green. Andre is ahead of schedule! Great news!!!

I think trublu mean to say Torre keep him in the starting rotation lol. Oh geez just dropped Ortiz and I think he can clear waiver do we really need Green when we have Denker back in our organization?

Hey Nelly I don’t know if you seen my other answer but it was King Felix back in 2008 victim of Wright error that extended the inning.

  8. nedajerk

lol how do we know is not Ned who choose these guy? Anyone who played as much as Dewitt I doubt Joe is the one to say anything about this person when it’s Ned.

    Good morning ITD!
    Well said Kahli!
    .
I am doing a Torre today, playing my scrubs in my baseball fantasy team but I am winning 10-0 this week. Got a win with Ely! Someone dropped Edwin Encarnacion and I picked him up May 18th, since then he has hit 5 homeruns for me! I just got lucky!
Go Dodgers! I am taking my little broom that I took to Petco Park today!

OMG! I am so sad. I just heard Jose Lima passed away of a heart attack. He was just at the game on Friday I believe.
Rest in peace Jose Lima! We Dodger fans will never forgive you.

Really sorry to hear about Jose passing away. He was still such a young man. My prayers go out to his family & friends.
    .
I got his autograph a couple of times and had the pleasure of just chatting with him a couple of times and he was always one of the nicest ballplayers I ever encountered. From my experiances we’ve lost a really great person.

The “Jose Lima Game” in the 2004 NLDS is probably the greatest Dodgers game I’ve ever attended. Anybody who was there that day felt Chavez Ravine rock like it rarely has from the opening pitch pretty much all game long. After the game both my brother (leekfink) and I were interviewed for the late news. When my wife saw my interview, she felt much the same way that Drew Barrymore felt when she saw Jimmy Fallon interviewed at Red Sox spring training in “Fever Pitch”.
    .
Thanks for the memories, Jose. I would say RIP, but it doesn’t seem quite right for Jose Lima. Instead I’ll wish Jose continued enthusiasm in the afterlife.

Boy, how did the Rox get so lucky to be able to play the Royals? They are winning 10-4 in the 6th.

My prayers go out to the family of Jose Lima.

    GO DODGERS!!!!!

Just by the way Joe operates, I’ll bet he sends DeWitt and Paul down. I’d love for him to prove me wrong.

  16. nedajerk

lol let’s be honest no team would probably picked up Anderson and DFA should’ve be an option released him is prefect.

I wonder why Torre doesn’t used Weaver for 2 innings and do we really need to used Belisario? Belisario has pitch in 3 games the prior 4 LA games.

  18. nedajerk

    Relisario VS. LEFT: .313 / .825 VS. RIGHT: .156 / .447 HOME: .095 / .335 AWAY: .296 / .774

That’s a rare hit off of a right hand batter.

  19. nedajerk

Gosh damn it. You could’ve had used Monsterious for that innings. Belisario just can’t go 2 innings and Sherrill need to be on the phatom DL.

  20. nedajerk

The worst thing Belisario ERA going to go up again and the good thing to Sherrill is that his ERA going to come down lol.

What do you think about the Dodgers pursuing Roy Oswalt? I think this could make us a legit contender to actually win a world series. We have great offense, especially once ethier gets back and we have been suprised by Ely, Kuroda, and Billingsley in the ways they have performed. If we aquired Oswalt, would’t we dominate with two aces (O and Kershaw)? What are your thoughts?
