Today's game

Went searching for coffee and found today’s lineup. Still searching for coffee…

Furcal, SS

Cruz, CF

Nomar, 1B

Drew, RF

Kent, 2B

Alomar, C

Aybar, 3B

Ethier, LF

Sele, P

Let’s keep on playing good ball, today’s Aybar’s day, I know it!

I agree with bluebleeder88. Let’s keep playing good baseball, prevent Dr. Steroid from hitting one into the cove. Looking for a big game from one of the baby Dodger’s Cruz, Ethier, or Aybar..

Alomar and Sele have both been around, let’s hope they can stop Mr. Big-Head again.

Unbelievable what losers we got in trade from the Devil Rays. Baez is no closer, and he is not an eight inning setup man. My stomach turns every time he gets the ball, and I hope those occasions are far and few between in the future – preferably not in a Dodger uniform.

Please at least for now use either broxton or saito as the closer. baez needs to take a lesser position or how about grady taking him out when it is obvious that he does not have anything that day. Pedro Martinez anyone?

I never thought I would say this, but Danys Baez needs Scott Boras. Believe it or not, this is Baez’s contract year.

I also can’t help but notice that Grady Little is far too stubborn to trust younger players. Takashi Saito and Jonathan Broxton are both more adept at striking people out and getting control. If there’s a save situation, why not use Broxton tomorrow? Those 33 pitches are a lot Baez.

I know, lets use Duaner Sanchez. —– Oh thats right, we traded him for Jae Seo . Ouch!!!!

I cringed when I saw that Duaner Sanchez had been traded. That was the ONLY deal from Colletti this past offseason that upset me. Sanchez has heart and is a fierce competitor. You can’t teach those traits.

How about using Perez in the closer’s role? I know that sounds crazy, but it might be just what the team needs right now. Look what John Smoltz did from ’02 through ’04, and it helped ressurect his career. Maybe Perez could use this as a point of focus in getting himself right again. He seems to have the good stuff early on in his starts, so maybe coming in for an inning or two at the end of a game might help. Any thoughts, besides the fact that I’m probably insane for even suggesting this? lol…

why don’t we trade baez and perez for a new bat boy!!!!!

I have an eleven year old son who plays little league. I’m no baseball master, but I’m 90 percent sure he could do better than Baez. Mr. Colletti, call me we can discuss.

“How about using Perez in the closer’s role?”

I hope you’re joking about this one.

Baez is no closer. If he can’t get 3 outs before giving up 4 runs, error or not, he’s no closer. Grady has a habit of letting guys give away games. He could have used Broxton when he saw Baez stinking it up out there. The results couldn’t have been any worse.
