I hope the Dodgers prove me wrong, but here’s why I don’t like this lineup:
    1) Jose Cruz Jr hits best when he’s in the 2-hole, and there’s no reason to believe Lofton wouldn’t succeed elsewhere.

    2) Jason Repko and Andre Ethier are both on the bench.

    3) I’m worried about how well Bill Mueller is doing, and if he isn’t back in the lineup by Tuesday, I want to see Willy Aybar there.

Addendum (after looking at Kenny Lofton’s stats for May):
    4) Lofton has had a rough last few games. Since leaving Houston, he’s 5-30 with 2 walks. That he’s 0-2 on the night doesn’t make me feel any better.

    5) Why is it ok to bench 24-year-old Ethier two nights in a row but not 38-year-old Lofton?

Guys, Lofton is a proven major league winner who hit .330+ last year, take it easy on the line up predictions when you are talking about guys with 2 games under their belt in the bigs… this is a game of patients and numbers, you cant go chasing the hot hand….
