I’m glad to hear Kuo is coming back up. Every time I watched him pitch he did great, and the times I didn’t, he was terrible. It was quite a surprise to look at his stats after he got sent down and realized why he was in AAA. I am not really sure why the team seemed more comfortable with Carter and Hammulack over Kuo unless it was because of his lack of major leage experience.

Not sure I am thrilled with Kuo coming up but I am extatic that Hamulack is going down. Either way that position is a mop up position anyways. Gagne, Saito, Biemel and Broxton are the meat of the bullpen with Baez great sometimes and aweful others. Kuo is for mopup and Perez/Seo is for long term mop up.

Never underestimate the power of Eric Gagne’s presence, or Russ Martin’s for that matter. Kuo has great potential, and I think it just might be realized.

Glad to see Hamulack going down, but would like to see Kelly Wunsch come back up as a situational LHP.

Did anyone else notice in the article about Kuo coming up that he has allowed 9 runs in 12 innings in Las Vegas. THis is aweful. Don’t we have anything better than this down on the farm. If not then maybe some sort of trade will be necessary, say navarro and izturis for 1 starter and 1 releiver.

Kuo is a tease. 18 K’s in 12 innings but also 20 base runners which includes 8 walks. 5 earned runs. Expect he is pitching behind in the count quite often. Not sure of the status of Carrara but he is RH I believe. Wunsch has only 2 innings so not ready yet. Kuo is a lefty so that is perhaps why he was recalled.

Do we get to see the Big 5 in the lineup today? Just one time give us Furcal/Aybar/Nomar/Drew/Kemp/Ethier/Martin.

Greg Miller is a lefty too but they are being super cautious with him and rightfully so. Still very young and great potential. Depends on his total arm rehabilitation for a move to the bigs.

Not sure I would go with the big 5 with Myers pitching. As much as I love the young guys it seems we are slowly relying more and more on them and therefore putting more pressure on them. Think Brady is trying to make sure they are as successful as possible, as much as that is possible, by position in line up and who is playing when and against what pitchers. I am more inclined to use three at a time instead of four or five, although five is very enticing.

Looking at Kuo’s stats, it doesn’t seem like he got much better since he was up with the Dodgers earlier. I know they want a left hander, but we do have an effective Beimel for relief. I’ve looked at the stats for Hull on the Vegas team, and I’d like to see him with a chance here in the big league. Does anybody have more detailed information about Hull?

Go into Las Vegas website and check Eric Hull bio on left hand side. Signed as an undrafted player with not bad stats for four years. Good contibution to the Jacksonville team last year.
