death seems like what the dodgers have in mind. drew has started off well, Repko needs to play more, nomar is hot or very cold. Mueller has tailed off, the rest of the line-up seems to be dead. the pitching ? where is it. this year is getting off very poorly. bring in the younsters .

I can just hear it now. A reporter asks Grady Little a question:

“Grady, what are your thoughts about your bullpen’s execution?”

“I think it would be a good idea… don’t you?”

    My thoughts exactly… @#&@!!!

So Navarro may have a wrist injury from being hit by a pitch. Well, this was the downfall of Jayson Werth, so letting him play hurt would be stupid; even if the X-rays turn up negative I would give him a day or two off. So something’s gotta give.

Option 1 is to let the Dodgers go through with calling up Russell Martin, a move they have hesistated to make. Option 2 is to find out what kind of emergency catcher Jason Repko is.

Option 1 if Navarro is going to the DL, and 2 if he’s ok except a little banged up. And I propose a simple test for potentially taking over the starting job: throw out two baserunners.

You’re funny… “I’ve never caught a game anywhere. I caught a couple bullpen sessions in the Minor Leagues, and I’ve warmed up pitchers between innings.”

    WHERE IS REPKO?

Repko gives the dodgers offense a spark whenever he plays, why is a minor leager called up instead of starting repko?

Why is Lofton still starting? Repko has the same speed or better and Lofton’s BA is much worse….What am I missing..IS grady trying to throw games?

yes, where is repko? right next to cruz on the bench in little’s doghouse? still can’t imagine how ethier get’s to come and start three in a row over repko!?!

and how does piazza throw out furcal? that might be one of the only dozen or so he throws out all year. man, when things are going wrong, even piazza looks good behind the plate.

and was it me, but shouldn’t navarro have his right arm BEHIND his back when catching – to avoid the very same injury from happening?

Yes, I was actually quite facetious in suggesting Jason Repko should be given a shot at the starting catcher position. (Coming out of the bullpen is an entirely different story. HA!)

But seriously, I appreciate giving Ethier the experience, but I think that it would be best for Lofton to yield some time to Repko, and Drew too.

Repko is NOT the answer!!!! Im thrilled to see him playing well this year in limited use, and im sure he is going to get significant playing time by the time the year is over, but lets not forget the guy hit 0.221 in close to a full season last year.

repko hit .221 in 276 AB over the course of 129 games. not quite a full season or a legitimate shot. you can’t expect a rookie to be a good pinch hitter. i’ve never heard of any that are. another of repko’s talents is hard work an hustle. he plays the game the right way. i’m not saying the other dodgers don’t, but it is definitely evident with repko.
