We announced this morning the winning uniform for the six half-price food and beverage throwback days in 2011. The 1940s blue uniform won by just a few percentage points among nearly 50,000 votes and it really is cool to say that you were the ones to decide which uniform the Dodgers will wear.
We had a few players wear the jerseys today and it really should be a unique environment at Dodger Stadium for those six midweek day games. We even created a special ticket package where the tickets for those six games are half price, too. Hopefully you’ll find a way to skip work, school, or just find your way to the stadium on these games.
Individual tickets for these games, Opening Day and all the other cool promotional nights (and all 81 games) are available starting tomorrow at 10 a.m.

My first season was 1947 and I don’t recall this throwback uniform. I’m sure they wouldn’t use it if it never exited.
I really think they should’ve used all 3, especially 1911 celebrating 100 years of that jersey stile. There was no need for voting. They could’ve used each one twice.

I just would like you to know that I sent out a request to the Mets, to have a game in Citi Field that features the Dodgers and the Mets in throwback unis.
I’m awaiting an answer.
This would be good for us old folks who rooted for the team when they were in Brooklyn, regardless of how they feel about the team today.
Also for the younger fans who were told about it.
Judging from the box score of the Giants game I’d say Mattingly has the team in mid-season form leaving runners on base.
See we’re skipping Garland’s spot in the rotation already. Bunnynutts says its nothing but then, when do we ever trust anything that comes from the coaches or front office?
