Busy days…
These few days between the full squad reporting date and the first games are easily the busiest for those of us in the front office.
Today alone, we had more than 2,500 items signed by Dodger players for various charitable and civic purposes…
We had a number of guys do their green screen shoots for DodgerVision…
KCAL and Prime Ticket were on site for various interviews and features…
Juan Uribe shot a TV commercial that you’ll see during preseason…
And the regular media corps was on hand for the daily news that comes from Camelback…
To top it all of, the Dodgers are facing the White Sox tonight in softball on the “replica” field here, with the Camelback employees taking part.
Tomorrow morning, we’ll be at Cracker Barrel for our annual PR department breakfast before photo day at 7 a.m…
But the best part of it all is that there’s still just a very good vibe here. It’s really hard to explain, but I keep hearing all the media that comes through here talking about it and you can just feel it. The players are loose but focused on getting ready for the season and games start on Saturday (as does DodgerTalk on KABC 790).

Hey Dodgereric!!! That walk down memory lane seems to keep repeating itself. The price tags aren’t as high, but when you have an owner with “seemingly” no money, you would think we would be more careful about who we sign. Ned just keeps making the same mistakes over and over again.
Seems to me that every lawsuit that Frank has ever challenged in court, he has won or bettered his position. This one looks to be a tad bit different. He is broke and unless he prevails again in court, he will be even worse off. I know he will gain something from ( the MPA lawyers. )

I suppose better late than never, so I commend Bud’s decision not to approve the loan from Fox to Frank. I hope that decision pertains to ALL borrowing, since Frank is already leveraged to an extent that no ordinary people would be able to accomplish. I would hope that the somewhat clanish major league owners group would finally recognize that Frank isn’t the kind of guy they even want to associate with. The quickest way to get him out the door is for the lenders to start circling and to cut him off from any more borrowed money.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for Frank!!! It is a good sign that MLB and other owners have cut him off and pulled their support from underneath him. I sure would like the Feds to investigate the con man from Boston. I can’t see why anyone would go to a game when you know that your exorbitant parking and concessions go into enabling the McCourts over the top lifestyle!!! I hope Ned and Conti’s pucker factor is way up as they are out of luck when their completely inept meal ticket gets ousted. Who in their right mind would still have Ned as their GM!!! The guys a baffoon!!!!
Frank must have been a bit surprised that his good buddy Mr. Selig would not approve the loan from Fox. You have to admit it was a clever deal: Frank gets some operating money in a deal he never intends to repay and Fox keeps the broadcasting rights to Dodger baseball at a big discount. This deal would have been good for Fox and Frank but definitely not good for the Dodgers and the fans. Did Bud all of a sudden become smart?
I also have to believe that Dodger employees from the front office staff all the way to the guard at the entrance to the parking lot and everyone in between (including the players) have at one time or another engaged in a conversation about the ownership situation. These people are no different than the rest of us. Frank is living in a dream world if he really believes no one cares.

I think Jamie knew when to abandon the sinking ship!!! She stands to come out better than anyone in this debacle. Get rid of a limp husband(couldn’t satisfy her womanly needs), and, cash in in the bargain. I believe Jamie is the one with the business saavy in this relationship!!! LMFAO because Frank deserves a big reality check!!!!
Don’t think any of you will have to worry about attendance when gas prices hit $5-6/gal, maybe even $8-10. That Jackson for parking is going to be needed to get to work, let alone ticket prices and concessions.
I also doubt Frank’s able to make payroll with the non-player employees, let alone professional athletes and coaches.
Frank would be well served to sell the Dodgers now while the value is the highest its ever been and move on. The parking lots in Boston are gone since Fox foreclosed and sold them. Your fishing days are over Frank. Time to cut bait. It is actually in your best interests to get out now!!!! Of course, you won’t see the logic as you are a decerebrate with delusions of grandeur!!!!

I don’t know who I’d prefer to see go more Wally – Frank or Furter, though if Frank goes, so does the Furter. No one in their right mind would keep Ned in the drivers seat.

I can’t say I am a big fan of Jamie but you do have to admire her business saavy. She’s the only one that will come out ahead. She played Frank like a fiddle.
In all seriousness, if I were Frank, I’d sell now while the price is at its highest. You get out now, take a profit, settle with Jamie, don’t go thru all the litigation and public exposure of your ineptness, and spare your kids the embarrassment. You will still be rich and not in debt up to your eyeballs!!!
