The hottest team in baseball…

A big win tonight and it’s really cool to see the sea of blue not only at PETCO Park, but at the team hotel. Dodger fans came out in full force tonight to show their love and it was a really fun game to watch.

And there’s another place where the fans are out in full force…Facebook, where we’re about to top 200,000 fans (we’re about 500 fans shy at the moment). That’s pretty incredible when you think of how recently we really started updating that page on a regular basis. But of course, there are a lot more than two hundred thousand Dodger fans out there. You guys are millions strong, all around the world.

Keep the streak alive…we’ve won 10 of the last 13 for the first time in about a year…

Blue Nation was strong at Petco tonight. We gutted out the win and left them crying in their beers. See you at the game tomorrow! Let’s represent!

News: Pitching for the fourth time in five games Wednesday, Clippard threw a perfect eighth inning and picked up his seventh win of the season.
Spin: Clippard’s now on pace for a 33-win season, assuming his arm doesn’t fall off from overuse.

Tyler Clippard on pace for a 32-5 record but the good part is the 32 hld but the bad part 23 bs.

Spin: One of two walks was an intentional pass with Manny Ramirez on deck. If that happens 34 more times this year, Ethier would tie David Ortiz for the most IBBs in front of Manny. Ethier enters Saturday’s game batting a solid .292/.457/.744. Seems like all the work he did in Arizona this winter might just be paying off.

  6. nellyjune

That would be .392 for Andre’s average 🙂

Great game last night Dodgers! Let’s take another one tonight.
    GO DODGERS!!!

Josh ~ I happen to be down in So-Cal this weekend with Dodgereric and family, and yesterday Andre did an interview on Fox Radio 570 (I think that is right) and he was talking about his Bobblehead saying that it looks nothing like him, and how he was talking to his favorite PR guy (being you) about it. You can tell Andre that the Ethieraholics don’t care what the Bobblehead looks like. We are going to support him. Andre did a fantastic interview yesterday. He sounded relaxed, not taking all this triple crown talk too seriously, and he really seemed to have fun with talking to the hosts. Andre did a great job, and it made being stuck in traffic a lot more fun too 🙂

Also Josh, is Andre’s (Matt’s too for that matter) action figure for all fans or just the 14 and unders?

  9. 636566cy

Nelly – the action figure giveaways are for fan 14 and under.
    .

Josh – nice rah, rah, rah post. How about addressing why the front office has decided to run the organization like a small market team by not selling individual Yankees tickets to fans out there? And please don’t insult our intelligence by saying by overwhelming demand by season tickets holders either. This is a money grab all the way and I want to hear from the front office as to why they have decided to screw all the non-season ticket holders out there.

Morning everyone! Nelly- glad to have you in So Cal! I’ll be in the top deck Tuesday cheering on Dre!!!

I don’t think it’s fair to limit any kind of promotional item to kids. I’ve seen them given to babies…what a joke. With the prices we pay, they should be given to everybody.

    Amen Brother!!!!

  13. jhallwally

Hello gang!!! Nice to see our boys start to tighten it up and play some good fundamental baseball. Got themselve’s back in the hunt. Trumom, if anyone deserves a bobble-head Ethier, it’s you and Nelly!!!

  14. knouffbrock@frontiernet.net

I’m not dead set against management, ownership, but I’ve got to say this mini-plan stuff for the NY series is not a very fan friendly way to go about business. I made the trip out to see the Yanks last time they were in town, but I don’t see how it could happen now. Sort of stinks.

  15. jhallwally

It’s sounding like Oswalt could be had without giving up much, if a team is willing to take his contract. Frank, Ned, get on it. We’re a large market team with the money available. That is, if you aren’t trying to pad your own wallet, pay Jamie, and live above your means!!!!!!! Hint Frank and Jamie, you’re never gonna be New England blue bloods.

  16. trublu4ever

Jhall ~ Nelly and I are going to get the bobblehead…it’s the action figure (I believe) that is for kids only. I don’t think we’d drive down there without “Andre” coming home with us! lol

  17. trublu4ever

I think we will be in the first 50,000 since we are leaving in the morning to get there….lol.

  18. jhallwally

I hope I won’t see an episode of COPS with you and Nelly shaking down some kids for Andre Bobble-Heads. LOL!!!!

  19. jhallwally

LMFAO Trumom!!! I wouldn’t blame you. A gal has to do what an Ethierholic has to do!!!! LOL!!!!!

  20. Dodger4life

Jhall I have been locked out…which makes we want to say down the hatch….How are you these days?
    .
I seen Boise State ranked 2nd and the Buckeyes 3rd in some magaine, so we should have some fun this season.

  21. jungar@wsgcorp.com

Berkman would be nice at 1b. I am not a huge Loney fan. Though I am also willing to continue to be patient. At 1b I expect more OPS. Loney’s current all time best is still 50 points OPS minus Berkman’s current worse.

  22. trublu4ever

It will be intersting to see if Frank REALLY wants to WIN or, just make a pretty good showing.

  23. jhallwally

Yep D4, Boise State and Ohio State should both be alot of fun this year. I hope we meet you for the National Championship!!!

  24. oldbrooklynfan

    Hiya ITD,
Another big game tonight, hoping the Blue Crew keeps the ball rolling. Need another good outing from Kershaw and hope the bullpen keeps up it’s brilliant work.
    GO DODGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. jhallwally

I’d take Oswalt for no prospects and take his remaining salary. I’m not giving up on Loney. No to Berkman. Loney reminds me of what Gil Hodges must have been like.
