A bit of a slow uneven start for Mr. Wolf tonight.
Hi everyone ~ Just turned the game on. Nice blast by DRE. Love having Kemp & Either back to back in the order. Very imperative. Don’t stop at two runs, pour it on Dodgers.

I’m perfectly happy with Furcal’s play at SS.
SS generally make a lot more errors than others.
I know that why I said he can’t but he can always borrow Castro glove. You had some old time pitchers that can throw right or left handed and the Yankees have one in the farm system that can thrown from both hand.
Furcal’s only problem this year is his hitting, he’s below the .260 mark along with Martin.
They are the only two in the starting lineup, that low.
Damn here is our offense asleep with Rincon pitching I hate this.
Even worst he just came off the DL.
Urgh 3 innings with anything on Rincon.
Rincon is doing is job, I’m glad he didn’t start.
Another fantastic start by Wolf. I’d like to see him go one more inning.
Andre hit .290 with that single.

Fantastic Job tonight for WOLF this isthe 10th time he’s pitched through the 7th, tying BILZ.
I think everyone would agree so far down the stretch Wolf is becoming our ace. I hope he can keep it up the rest of the way.

Hey everyone. Good to see the offense score some runs. Wolf has really been great lately. Andre is really on a roll. He’s up to .290 now. We knew, he’d get there, right Nelly and trublu? Though I’m not a fan of Joe’s pitching staff management, I have to give him credit for standing behind his players this season when they’ve been struggling. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and Andre to get thrown under the bus when he was struggling in May, but Joe really did stand by him and support him and it has paid off.
WB Sherrill we could had used you last night.
I guess that troll that wanted Pierre to played over Ethier is eating his words tonight but that fool still posting on the main Dodgers forum.
Pierre was 3/3 before that apperance something Loretta can’t seem to do anymore.

I wish they would had shown this game on Kcal 9 other than last night crap.
I like the games on Prime Ticket better, because we get the Dodgers Live pregame and postgame shows and I like to see all the player interviews and the commentaries.
2 things really bothered me about tonights game.
1) why in the world does torre not use sherill or broxton in last nights extra inning, one run game, but he does in the game where we’ve had a 5 run lead since the 4th inning? it doesnt make sense to me.you put in mcodnald who walks a guy,cant make a play on a bunt,and in the end gives up the game winning run for the rockies.mcdoanlds a rookie who hasnt been consciestent yet sherill and broxton have experience as a closer.dont understand the man sometimes.
2)the rockies announcers.it seems vin scully is one of the only announcers that doesnt act sound like a die hard fan for one side or the other.i guess we’re just blessed to be able to have such a professonal to listen to.
but i must say on a positive note, eithier stepped up today and wolf keeps rolling with very good starts.hopefully padilla can have a solid dodgers debut tomorrow afternoon.

bluecrewgirl – It was great seeing James get that homerun. Andre’s were awesome, but it’s come to be expected from Andre now, whereas James’ it was more of a sign of maybe he’s figured it out. Andre’s going to finish out this regular season with some incredible numbers. A possible 30+ HR, 40+ 2B, 100+ RBI season is his for the taking.
Wolfy need 1 more win for career win #100. To bad we didn’t resigned Wolf to a 2 years contract when he left us in 2007. Wolf first time around had some ugly stats but he was injury prone maybe the reason we didn’t thrown that 2 years contract to him.

Ethier really need a bobblehead night.
Shad, he does need to figure out why he’s had recent struggles against lefties because if he does, the sky’s the limit for him. He never had issues with them until recently. so I think it’s just a matter of making an adjustment. It was mentioned in his Before the Bigs that his dad used to pitch batting practice to him left handed so he’d be able to hit lefties. Maybe his dad needs to come out to CA for some batting practice sessions, lol.

Andre’s toe was definitely a factor bluecrewgirl. Andre has always claimed he works on balance in his hitting, and if your toe is bothering you, you are not going to feel balanced at all.

Okay – my 10:16 post was written after my 10:18 post, and according to my computer clock, it is 10:17.
Nelly, I think his struggles in May had a lot more to do with the spring training toe injury than anything else. I noticed him wince every time he would slide into a base back then and he was not quite as quick getting to balls in the outfield during that time period either. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by in now. Toe injuries can be tough in any sport. Brox’s toe injury definitely had a negative effect on him too.

You can never have to much pitching, but we may have enough. Might even get a boost from Padilla. If we could get a couple of hitters going again we’ll roll right on into the post season. Torre’s patience paid off with Ethier, maybe it will pay off with some others, specifically Furcal. We’ve got an interesting 5-6 weeks of the season to go.

His dad is often at the games. The first time I talk to him he asked me “Where is your 70’s wig?” I did not know I was talking to Andre’s dad. My friends and I told him about our adventures in Arizona with the traffic tickets we got there during Spring Training so he was giving us some pointers. We ran into him at Wrigley Field also. He seems like a very down to earth person.

To make room for Thursday starting pitcher Vicente Padilla on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers placed Jason Schmidt on the 60-day disabled list, effectively ending his tenure with the club. Schmidt is in the final season of a three-year deal and has hinted he will retire. He went 2-2 in four starts last month, but was placed on the disabled list with recurring shoulder problems. In three seasons with the Dodgers he won a total of three games and had two shoulder operations.
