Enjoy watching my favorite player every day. Nomar is still awesome, when healthy. Even though he is “blocking” Loney, and would be “blocking” Laroche if you moved him to 3rd, he is still valuable. I still go out of my way to watch him bat on MLB.TV and always check the box scores to see how he does.
Wow, hope nobody picked Stanford to go all the way.
Who is this Hendrickson guy that’s pitching today? He shut out the Cardinals for five innings… not too shabby. And that ERA… 4.63… I heard it was something like 18.00 a week ago.
9 singles.
We were so quick to give Tomko the 5th spot in yesterday’s conversation…think Hendrickson has a shot? Tomko’s more proven out of the bullpen than Hendrickson, and even though Hendrickson didn’t win his starts last year he had a few solid ones with no run support if I remember right.
Hendrickson made 12 starts for the Dodgers last year.
Two were definitely good:
Date IP H R ER BB SO HR
———————————-
7/15 6.7 5 1 1 2 4 1
8/22 6 5 1 1 0 4 0
One was weird, a lot of baserunners but only two runs:
8/11 7 10 2 2 4 3 0
Two were mediocre (at best – one with SEVEN walks!), but there was enough “run support” that the Dodgers won:
7/30 6 6 3 3 7 3 0
8/6 6 6 3 3 2 4 0
The other seven starts were BAD:
7 games 32.7 54 33 28 10 18 6
its spring training i dont care what he puts up i dont want him as our 5th starter. tomko ill at least let blow it, but hendrickson already got a far shot. i have no idea why we resigned him for 3 million.
