These are our goals and objectives and I should be judged based on how well the organization achieves them. We’re here for the long haul and I truly hope that I’ll know that I’ve started to succeed when I’ve turned you from a naysayer into a supporter. I noticed his approach at the plate has improved since being called up. Shows alot more patience now drawing more walks, and hitting to all fields.

vl, if Billz doesn’t like what Navarro calls for, he can shake him off. Vinny puts it so well – the catcher suggests what should be thrown. So maybe Billz just rested on his “laurels” for a little bit. After all, it’s so rare the team scores for him.
I’m just saying he may be out of sync with some of the starters due to limited playing time.

None of our guys seem to play with much fire anymore. In as much as he got to be a crappy ballplayer, do you think a lot of the heart and soul left when Martin did? Or is that just a coincidence?
I’m wondering what they will do when all the players return from the DL? They HAVE to keep Jerry. What do they do with Blake, Brox, Padilla, Thames, and whoever else is coming back?
I see Castro, Guerra, Mitchell gone but I’m thinking someone going to be on the phatom DL. I wouldn’t be shock if it Loney and Furcal goes straight back on it.

Forgot about Tronco. I’d still option Rubby before Tronco though. Keep him starting. In a couple years you could have Kersh, Rubby, Lee and Billz as 4 of the five. Then you could go out and get a Lilly or Garland type to truely be your 5th starter and you’d be in pretty good shape.

I’ve read something somewhere that Logan and Ned don’t get along too well. Doesn’t surprise me when one can recognize and draft talent, and the other can’t and trades it away for nothing.
It will be an intersting decision time. Does Mattingly make the call or does Neddy get involved?
Judging from what I’ve seen, I don’t think Mattingly has much say in anything. He couldn’t even pick his own coaching staff.

Position players its pretty much a no brainer [which suits Ned perfectly] – Castro and Mitchell shouldn’t be on any team anywhere. Neither should Gibbons unless he strictly does what he should be doing only – PHing. But the fact that Gibbons would be your third choice to cut off your roster doesn’t say much for your roster in the first place.
What about Thames? Did they already let him go? It didn’t seem like his injury was that severe.
When Blake comes off I’d expect Mitchell to be optioned back to AAA. When Thames is ready I’d suspect Castro will be cut loose. Not to worry though, no one will want him and he can go back to Albuquerque and wait for his next call up. Ned will never just get rid of him.
Since I miss the game what’s number is Ruddy? I assume number 78 and that the year I was born.

I see Rick Monday is a guest on the Astros pre game show discussing the draft. He was the 1st over all pick in the very first one in 1965. What do you know? I never knew that. It goes to show you can always learn something new every day. He gave some good insight to the draftees. Pitchers can’t expect to win every start, and hitters & fielders have to realize there will be peaks & valleys over the course of their careers. Take the good with the bad, and don’t get too stressed.
I hope Lilly does well, and he gets some decent run support. It sure would be a much needed shot in the arm. This team needs to win the rubber game today, and take this series. After their dismal performance over the last 10 days, they need all the help they can get.

HOUSTON — Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hong-Chih Kuo, who abruptly left the team two weeks ago to deal with an apparent case of the yips and was placed on the 15-day disabled list with what was termed “anxiety disorder,” appears to have regained his command while throwing off a mound at the team’s spring-training facility in Glendale, Ariz.

“He has been throwing a lot,” Dodgers manager Ned Colletti said. “He is at about 90 percent intensity and having no problems with his command. We’ll see where we go from here.”
Colletti said Kuo eventually will face hitters in extended spring-training games, but that there is no target date for that to happen, nor is there a target date for Kuo to begin a minor league rehabilitation assignment.
Kuo, a National League All-Star for the first time last year, had an 11.57 ERA in nine appearances this season, with a highly uncharacteristic six walks in 4 2/3 innings. He left the team before a May 11 game in Pittsburgh, and while team officials were guarded that day as to his whereabouts, it quickly became clear that Kuo was dealing with the yips — an inability to control where his pitches were going — albeit a milder case than the one that briefly plagued him in 2009.
Colletti declined to say whether Kuo also is receiving any psychological counseling as part of his effort to overcome the problem.

AND because Ned’s such an idiot and signed Fuckal and Waddles Uribe to big contracts, getting anyone to take them at the trade deadline is near impossible. Well 2 yrs ago the contract wasn’t that bad for Furcal until he got hurt the past 2 season now the contract is hurting us. I don’t know about Furcal considering he’s always hurt but you might get a good prospect back from Blake. Gosh to bad Broxton had to screw up his trading value if he had one for pitching crappy in the 2nd half last year.

Holy smoke ex Dodgers players Baez went 5 innings and Valdez 1 2 3 innings. no freaking way. I love to see the box score that said 2nd baseman and than switch to pitcher and Valdez came in late to play 2nd bases.

I can’t bite my tounge any longer, y’all know me and my belief that negativity, is self serving…Y’all also know that I stand by whom ever we out in the field…That’s what ball players do. However, Frank and Jamie, have reached a crossroad, one that given the slightest opportunity, will reap rewards that are in no way shape or manner good for us fans, the Dodgers, or anything pertaining to what we and I am a native…even know, I reside elsewhere now, have grown, not only to enjoy, but to appreciate, what being a Dodger ( and we all are Dodgers .) At least everyone of us that believes in our proud history. I’m not just talking Jackie and his struggles, or Sandy and his Mastery on the mound. I’m talking about what, I as a middle aged man, have based my love upon. This love was handed to me by my father and I believe it was handed down to him by his father. I made the statement, sometime last year, (maybe) that our beloved Boy’s in Blue could play just as well ( maybe better ) with an empty stadium just as well as with a full one? ( and I truly believe this ), after all…they’re professionals, now! Up until this point they have excelled without much fanfare. Please do your part in restoring what is and should always be, the best and most enjoyable expierince that our grand ole game has to offer. This expierence rest not souly on the amout of money we spend, or the amount of frustration we endure, but on what we as true caretakers of a proud and truly treasured organization believe to precious. This is, and has always been in our ( as the loyal paying publics hands. ) If you want what you grew up loving, or you want what your parents grew up loving, now is the time to restore what we all…believe to be the greatest place to not only play the game of baseball, but to see it played as well. The Dodger Way is more that just how we conduct ourselves on the field of play, it is in how we go about enjoying the game itself. That has always been the best of the best, without this we are just anither run of the mill franchise…and I won’t give that up without a fight. ( We… me and you ) as fans are what is going to continue this wonderful tradition and nothing else. forget Frankm and Jamie, forget the payroll, forget the fact that we are the one of the biggest makets in baseball, and focus on what brought us all here.

But I feel worse for us – to the extent that Posey’s injury will be a drag on the Giants’ ability to win, that’s bad news for us. Why? It improves the odds that the Dodgers will be within striking distance of first place come the trading deadline. That means that unless a regime change comes through soon, Ned will be trading away the few prospects we have left for more PVLs. 😦

I love seeing all the active players we drafted first and there stats.
The first 3 in term of WAR Lilly, Wolf and Davis. lol they also a Tomko in there and no surprise that Utley and Victorino is on this list.
I should’ve say those were 3 of the top 5 all LHP.
We drafted Konerko as a catcher and what’s sicking me is Price wanted to go to college such a waste pick but he was pick in the 19th rounds in 2004 but was TB 1st round overall pick in 2007 same with Utley other than him being a 1st overall pick.
Surprise McCourts ranked last as owners in independant poll, yet Dodger Stadium was ranked in the top 5 parks to see a babeball game. Now let’s remove the owners so we can actually see a good Dodgers team play at Dodger Stadium. If not, the owners may ruin one of the best stadiums in MLB, they are trying, enough foul teritory has been removed for seats I can’t afford already.
